Rescheduled Fire Department Visit

At long last, today the children whose visit from the fire department had to be rescheduled were finally able to have their day. This time the truck that visited us had the long ladder so we were able to see the ladder extended. Firefighter Ben took a picture of us from the top of the ladder!

Christmas Store
We have two important positions to fill in order to ensure the success of the Christmas Store. We need someone to serve as procurement coordinator and some to serve as co-chairman alongside Nina Berg. If you are interested in serving in this way, please contact either Nina or Kim and let us know!
Faith Learning
    • In chapel this week, Pastor Reinke talked about the 9th commandment which tells us not to covet other people’s things. He told us about a story about King Ahab whose coveting of a vineyard led him to other terrible sins.
    • The month of November will be devoted to learning about the character quality of Thankfulness
  • The children heard a faith story this week about a widow who gave just a tiny bit, yet it was all she had. We learn about Jesus’ valuing the heart of the giver more than the gift itself.

A characteristic of the normal child is he doesn’t act that way very often”  — Author unknown

Things Your Kids Say

Teacher: “I like your crown. Is it for something special?”

Four-year old: “Yes. It’s for my head.”

Quite literally true.

“Childen should never touch matches or lighters!”
