In the case of a 2-hour delay in the district, the school and childcare WILL be open at the regular time.  We will still close if the school district closes.

News this Week

Registration will be open on January 27th for currently enrolled families and on February 10th for everyone else.  This year, registration will be online.  Once you fill out the Google Form online, you will receive a link from the office to pay for your registration fee.  Once that is submitted, your spot will be held.  You will receive an email on Monday, January 27th with a link for registration.

If you are planning on driving or volunteering at the school you need to stop into the office and do a background check.

Volunteers needed:

  • Someone to bring in a special treat for the teachers in both school/childcare to say “thank you” to our teachers during Lutheran Schools Week
  • Help with data entry (can do from home)
  • Someone to help with adding some life to our hallway (re-purposing frames, etc)  and come up with a decorating theme.

In Christ,

The winner in our drawing for the gift card is Ashlie Beal!
Thanks to everyone for filling out the survey!

Note from Colette our Bookkeeper:
Tax statements were mailed out this week.  Remember that Kindergarten expenses are not included as determined by the IRS.

Open House

We will have an all school Open House on January 22nd from 5:30-7pm.

If you have any connections in getting the word out, please let me know.  I am pretty new to Spokane and don’t know all the good places to advertise.

See below for the proposed schedule additions for next year.

What will next year look like at BSLC School?

We will be offering classes for Preschool, PreKinder and also a Jr. Kindergarten/Kinder class.  We have decided to focus our attention on the Preschool age students and not continue with a 1st grade.  We will send out more information on class times and openings over the next two weeks in preparation for enrollment opening.

Funny things kids say:

“Hey, new Mrs. W,
can you come here?”
