“I am the vine, you are the branches,” Jesus says. “Apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15.5). In Holy Baptism we are planted with Christ, and in worship we are nourished by God’s Spirit as we receive Word & Sacrament.
The heart of our life together in the family of faith is worship. Each Sunday we gather together as God’s people to receive Word and Sacrament.
Baptism is God’s gift of washing away our sins and joining us to Christ. Galatians 3 says, “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” We baptize people of all ages, recognizing that faith is God’s gift to give, and that Jesus has said, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God” (Mark 10.14).
If you are not baptized and are interested in the process toward being received into the church, contact the church office at office@beautifulsaviorspokane.org.
Confirmation is an ancient rite of the church in which baptized Christians confirm their faith, usually around the age of 13. At Beautiful Savior we have a three-year process, beginning in 6th grade. If you are interested in enrolling your child in Confirmation, contact admin@beautifulsaviorspokane.org.
For those who were not brought up in the church, are coming from another denomination, or simply would like to brush up on the essentials of Christianity, twice a year we offer our “Roots of Faith” class (usually in the fall and the spring). Contact Pastor for more info.
